Accumulators

Piston Accumulators

Piston accumulators provide a means of regulating and optimising the performance of a hydraulic system. They are used in a wide range of mobile and industrial applications to reduce energy consumption, protect system components and prolong equipment life, reducing downtime and maintenance requirements.

Their simple, compact design ensures dependable performance with maximum efficiency and life service.

Gas Bottles

Where space or constructional limitations prevent the installation of an accumulator large enough to deliver the flow rate required, a smaller accumulator may be used for connecting it to an auxiliary gas bottle which can be located elsewhere. This arrangement enables very high flow rates to be achieved while allowing the greater part of the accumulator’s capacity to be given over to fluid.

Because of the large precharge ‘reservoir’ provided by one or more auxiliary gas bottles, gas pressure is relatively constant over the full discharge cycle of the accumulator.

Bladder Accumulators

Liquids are practically incompressible and therefore cannot be used directly for storing energy. Hydro-pneumatic accumulators use the differing compressibility of liquid and gaseous media to enable energy to be stored in liquids under pressure.

The absence of dynamic sealing surfaces, make bladder accumulators tolerant of contamination and particularly suitable for low-lubricity fluids. Specially formulated for low permeability, Parkers bladders retain their high performance under a wide range of operating conditions including closed loop operation. Optional bladder compounds are available to suit all common fluids and operating temperatures.

Cartridge Valves

Filters

Low Pressure Hydraulic Filters

For tank top mounting installation the ETF series applies a reinforced co-polymer head equipped with two return ports and quick release cover. This filter represents an economic solution for hydraulic systems with nominal flows up to 140 l/pm.

Medium Pressure Hydraulic Filters

The Parker “CN” series filters has a common factor, the need for an economical, medium pressure range filter with excellent fatigue pressure ratings. Typical applications include:

  • Compressor lube oil
  • Off-line filter loops
  • Machine tools (automotive standard)
  • Hydrostatic drive charge pumps
  • Mobile equipment
  • Pilot lines for servo control
  • Oil patch drilling equipment
  • Injection moulding

High Pressure Hydraulic Filters

Parker Filtration engineered the 18/28/38P series of high pressure filters to satisfy demanding applications in the mobile and industrial markets throughout the world. With metric mounting and optional ISO 6149 ports, this new series is truly a global design. Standard filters come complete with industry proven spool type bypass valve. For more critical applications such as Servo or proportional controls, a no bypass high strength element combination ensures maximum protection.

Portable Hydraulic Filtration Systems

The Guardian portable hydraulic filtration system has two main functions, to ensure that new “dirty” fluid often contaminated during handling, is delivered to the system at a specific cleanliness and to permit periodic clean up of existing fluid to original condition.

Directional Control Valves

Directional Control Valves

3/2-Way Seated Type Directional Control Valve

The directional valve type D1SE is equipped with a wet pin armature solenoid, drain free tapered poppet valve and compatible with the standards DIN NG06, CETOP 03 and NFPA D03. Due to the 3/2 way design, port A is either connected with P or discharged in the tank. The neutral position (solenoid not activated) is taken automatically by a return spring, this position remains until the solenoid has energised.

The valve poppet including activation lever and armature of the solenoid are located in the pressurised oil chamber of connection T. The valve poppet is designed such that there can be no differential area in its axial operational direction (opening, closing). Thus it is statically pressure-balanced so that the valve can be switched in both flow directions even under pressure.

The unit has an all-steel design, the important functional inner parts are hardened, the poppet and seat are grinded.

Spool Valves/Directional Valve

The D1VW series is a 3 chamber, electrically controlled 4/3 or 4/2 way directional control valve. It is activated directly by solenoids with screwed in wet pin armature.

The coils can be exchanged for various input voltages, however, a change between alternating (AC and direct current (DC) is not possible.

Pilot Operated Directional Control Valves

The P, D9P and D11P are hydraulically controlled 4/3 or 4/2 way directional control valves. The valves are operated by the pilot ports X and Y via the sub-plate.

Pressure and flow of the pilot oil have a significant influence on the response time of the spool.

The minimum pilot pressure must be ensured for all operating conditions of the directional valve.

Galtech Pumps and Valves

Galtech Pumps and Valves

We offer the range of Galtech alloy gear pumps which are available in 34 displacements, divided into 4 groups. All units are suitable for build into multiple pumps. Customers are advised to use mineral hydraulic oils with antifoaming, antioxidant, corrosion-proof characteristics, and with high viscosity rate. Pump assembling and engagement must avoid axial and radial loads on the shaft. The coupling used for engagement has to compensate assembling misalignment mistakes. Significant inventory is held of all configurations. Please see our Galtech Products page.

Galtech monoblock, sectional and auxiliary valves are available from stock. Monoblock 3/8 & 1/2 valves up to six stations, with a variety of controls and actions. 3/4 valves are stocked up to three stations. The same configurations are available in sectional valves. Please see our Galtech Products page.

Galtech recently introduced a 1/4 BSP ported monoblock directional valve – maximum flow 25 ltrs/min rated at 280 bar – further details on the Galtech Products page.

Rotec offer quality design, build, installation and maintenance of hydraulic, pneumatic, electrical mechanical and electronic components and systems across all industry sectors throughout the UK and internationally.
