Pumps and Motors

Axial Piston Pumps

With swash plate, adjustable, for open circuit, PV series up to 350 bar, PVM series up to 280 bar and PVP series up to 250 bar.

In hydraulic systems with a working pressure of above 250 bar the most used pump type is the piston pump. The pistons move parallel to the axis of the drive shaft. The swash plate is driven by the shaft and the angle of the swash plate determines the stroke of the piston.

The valves are necessary to direct the flow in the right directions. This type of pump can be driven in both directions.

Vane Pumps

Vane pumps have a cam member carried upon a drive shaft in coaxial relationship. The axial sides of the cam member define annular cam surfaces which each engage an array of vanes disposed in a fixedly mounted stator. An interior portion of the drive shaft is hollowed to provide a fluid inlet to passages in the cam member which communicate with the cam surfaces.

With through-shaft option for multiple pump options, 4 bolt flange (ISO 3019/2 metric), fast response, wide range of controls for diverse tasks, low noise level and good efficiency.

Gear Pumps & Gear Motors

Heavy duty aluminium pumps and motors, PGP/PGM 500 series offer superior performance, high efficiency and low noise operation at high operating pressures, they are produced in four frame sizes, with displacements ranging from 0.8 to 70cm³/rev. A wide variety of standard options is available to meet specific application requirements.

Torqmotors™

Low speed Gerotor motor, low internal leakage and high volumetric efficiency. The roller vane rotor sets reduce friction and prolong service life. No internal check valves are required and extra plumbing is necessary. There is a wide choice of displacement ranges, flange and shaft options.

Berarma™ Variable Displacement Vane Pumps

Berarma PVS variable displacement vane pumps come in four nominal sizes (05-1-2-3) each of which is available in three different displacements. The PVS low pressure pumps (100 bar) (1450psi) are equipped with a Mechanical pressure regulating device. Pump components include a body, a drive rotor which houses the vanes, vanes that convey the fluid into the inlet and outlet chambers; a stator (mobile circular ring) for varying eccentricity and consequently displacement; side distribution plates with Axial hydrostatic compensation, which delimit the inlet and outlet chambers, a guide block balancing adjustment screw, a displacement adjustment piston, a maximum volume adjustment screw (available on request), a pressure regulating device and a pressure regulator.

Sandwich Valves

Sandwich Valves

Check Valves

Check valves from the Parker Manapak series CM are sandwich plate valves designed for stacking beneath a directional valve with a standardised mounting pattern.

Depending upon the function required. One or two check valves are arranged in ports P, T, A and B. Number and flow direction are indicated with letter codes.

The valve bodies are made of steel, eight options for the arrangement of the check valve in the body offer a multitude of uses for hydraulic switching. If switching must be changed, the locating pin can be swapped and the function changed by turning the valve.

Pressure Reducing Valves

Series PRDM are direct operating pressure reducing valves to regulate pressure in one are of a hydraulic circuit at a predetermined level below normal system pressure. Additionally, an integral pressure relieving function for the secondary reduced pressure circuit is incorporated into the design.

Pressure Relief Valves

The pilot-operated pressure relief valves from the Parker Manapak series RM are sandwich plate valves designed for stacking beneath a directional valve with a standardised mounting pattern. Depending upon type, pressure limiting can always be achieved in Ports P, A, or B with unloading always taking place at T.

RM valves may only be mounted in the defined mounting position.

Pressure Compensators

2-way pressure compensators, series LCM are sandwich plate valves designed for stacking beneath a proportional directional control valve with a standardised mounting pattern.

The valve maintains a constant pressure differential between ports P and A or P and B across the directional valve. When the cross-sectional opening of the directional valve is held steady, a constant volume flow rate is achieved, regardless of consumer load fluctuations.

The control pressure applied to the spring side of the compensator spool is supplied from port A or B via a shuttle valve. Flow rate regulation is automatically effective in the port with the highest pressure.

Systems

Systems

Modular Power Units

By using prefabricated components, modular power units can be produced at a low price and in a short time.

Various options allow a flexible adoption to the requirements of the particular application. Modular power units are particularly suitable as the basis for building up complex hydraulic control systems. A stackable basic block gives the user the possibility of extending the power unit with additional control elements for the specific use. The products listed below allow a short-term unit delivery.

  • Tank
  • Electric motor
  • Pump
  • Bell housing
  • Return filter
  • Contamination gauge
  • Level switch
  • Valve stack
  • Accumulator

These units are particularly designed for stationary use, working with one pump and requiring volume flow of up to 38 l/pm and pressure of up to 315 bar.

Press Controls

Hydraulic equipment by Parker Hannifin is available in the rated sizes 6 to 50 for installation in hydraulic presses according to the safety regulations EN 693. The equipment consists of standardised modular blocks which can be selected according to the required press functions and assembled to form a complete press control.

These modular blocks are quipped with valves from the standard valve programme, thus guaranteeing long term spare parts supply.

The clearly organised design gives simple access to all units. The connections of the press blocks are sensibly arranged for optimum connection between pump and press block and press block and press cylinder. The connection and valve designations are marked on the control block unit.

Rotec offer quality design, build, installation and maintenance of hydraulic, pneumatic, electrical mechanical and electronic components and systems across all industry sectors throughout the UK and internationally.
