Rotec Hydraulics Ltd are thrilled to announce that following a thorough audit they have achieved full membership status with the Lifting Equipment Engineers Association, better known as the LEEA.

LEEA are a respected organisation dedicated to ensuring safety and quality across lifting equipment materials and supplier integrity. LEEA supports the education and quality procedures to ensure that safe practice is the everyday norm.

To become a full LEEA member, Rotec provided evidence of their activities within the lifting equipment industry and underwent a thorough compliance audit where the business’s processes were examined and assessed on their ability to uphold and maintain the exemplary standards required by LEEA. 

This thorough membership process ensures that only those who provide the highest-quality products and services can attain a membership.

When using a LEEA member, you can be confident that they are compliant to any and all relevant standards and legislation, competent, and are continually raising the standards of practice.

Rotec named finalist at The Manufacturer MX Awards

Rotec Hydraulics Ltd have been officially announced as a finalist at The Manufacturer MX Awards 2023.

Delivered by The Manufacturer in partnership with the Institution of Mechanical Engineers (IMechE), The Manufacturer MX Awards (TMMX Awards) exist to encourage, benchmark, and celebrate manufacturing excellence.

Rotec named ‘Manufacturer and Producer of the Year’

Rotec Hydraulics Ltd have been officially revealed as ‘Manufacturer and Producer of the Year’ at the 2023 Somerset Business Awards.

Based across the South West of the UK, Rotec Hydraulics are a well-respected provider of hydraulic, pneumatic and electrical engineering services and components. Celebrating 45 years of trading next year, Rotec design, manufacture and produce a huge number of custom engineered solutions for a large variety of industry sectors.

Recent bespoke manufactured projects have included a capstan winch system for the Utilities market, hydraulic ring main for the Aerospace sector and mobile swaging trolleys for the Marine industry.

The company’s ability to develop and produce innovative, bespoke engineered solutions, together with Rotec’s outstanding customer survey results and impressive client portfolio impressed the judging panel, who also named the company runner-up in the ‘Large Business of the Year’ award category.

Nearly 400 business people from across Somerset attended the Grand Final, which was organised by Somerset Chamber of Commerce and hosted by BBC broadcaster and journalist Claire Carter.

This year was the 18th anniversary of the hotly contested awards and Michael Cahill of Albert Goodman, main sponsor of the awards, said:

In the first of its kind in Somerset, St Margaret’s Hospice is hosting The Big Somerset Cricket Bash.

Far from your usual fundraising event, The Big Somerset Cricket Bash, is a 10k charity walk fuelled by bacon sarnies, taking in the sights of Taunton leading to The Cooper Associates County Ground, where participants have free entry to cheer on Somerset County Cricket Club as they take on Nottinghamshire on the first day of the County Championship match.

Exclusively sponsored by Rotec Hydraulics Ltd, throughout the day men and women will be coming together to share precious memories of family and friends who have died. They will talk openly about their feelings and the realities of losing a loved one, the bereavement and grief that follows, as well as learning to adapt to a new way of life.

“It’s well recognised that many struggle to talk about their feelings. In addition to the services offered by our Bereavement Support Team, we wanted to provide an outlet for men and empower them to come together and talk openly.”

All money raised goes towards supporting sick children and babies at Bristol Children’s Hospital and the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit at St Michael’s Hospital.

Rotec Hydraulics Ltd named double finalist at Somerset Business Awards 2023

Rotec Hydraulics Ltd is celebrating after being named finalists in two categories at the Somerset Business Awards 2023.

The well-respected provider of hydraulics, pneumatics and electrical systems is still in the running for both the  ‘Large Business of the Year’ and ‘Somerset Manufacturer and Producer’ Award categories.

This year is the 18th anniversary of the awards, which are organised by Somerset Chamber of Commerce. The grand final will be hosted by BBC Somerset presenter and journalist Claire Carter at the Winter Gardens Pavilion, in Weston-super-Mare, on 24th March 2023.

Rotec’s business ethos and their proven ability to thrive despite challenges including the pandemic and the volatility of the marketplace, has earned them a place at the grand final in the ‘Large Business of the Year’ award category.

Named finalist for the ‘Somerset Manufacturer and Producer of the year’ category at this years’ awards is testament to Rotec’s innovative use of technology and ability to produce bespoke solutions for their clients, who year on year provide outstanding customer feedback.
