Hydraulic Power UnitsRotec Hydraulics Ltd has over 40 years experience in designing and manufacturing hydraulic power packs that are reliable, efficient and fit for purpose. Whether you require a new design, upgrade, repair or maintenance, we can help.
Hydraulic Power Units from Rotec
Hydraulic power units (sometimes known as hydraulic power packs) are self-contained systems that apply the hydraulic pressure required to transfer fluid from one source to another, subsequently creating rotary or linear motion and/or force to drive motors, cylinders and other complementary parts of a given hydraulic system.
Hydraulic Power Units must be correctly and intelligently designed in order to have an efficient and effective system.
Hydraulic power packs come in many different shapes and sizes; from very large (and generally stationary) industrial units through too much smaller and compact packs designed for mobile applications. To ensure your power pack provides consistent and reliable performance, it needs to be designed with the application in which it will be used in mind.
Variables such as operating environment (ambient temperature), number of cycles performed by the actuator/motor, pressure, flow requirements and availability of a suitable power source for the primary driver (electrical motor or engine) will all have an influence on the final power pack design.
The mechanical characteristics and specifications of a hydraulic power unit dictate the type of projects for which it can be effective. Satndard design features include;
- Fluid reservoir
- Coolers and heaters
- Power Unit Controllers
Rotec design engineers have a plethora of experience in creating custom power packs that meet your requirements, are durable, reliable and efficient. From small-scale units to large-scale projects, we have the expertise and resources to help.
Our hydraulic power units are built in-house using only the highest quality components. We build a vast range of custom power packs, including electric hydraulic power packs, 12 volt DC, 24 volt DC, 110 volt AC, 240 volt AC and 415v AC hydraulic power packs.
From installing to commissioning, our engineers will attend your site and, with the understanding that your hydraulic power unit is a vital part of your operation, will work efficiently and safely to ensure it’s installed correctly and meets both your and our high quality standards.
