Accumulator Services

The benefits of being a Parker certified centre, in addition to Rotec’s status as a Parker Hydraulic Technology Centre, enables Rotec Hydraulics to provide integrated solutions that combine products, services and technologies. Rotec’s access to original spare parts provides tangible benefits to clients, including shorter inspection time and the reduction of complexity help to lower cost and to save time.

As added value to customers, the Rotec Hydraulics Ltd Service Centre is able to utilise the Parker Tracking System (PTS) which helps schedule accumulator maintenance, providing automated notifications on inspections and replacement parts.

Accumulator Recertification

We are a licensed Accumulator Recertification and Test Centre as part of our distribution agreement with the accumulator manufacturer Parker Hannfin, supporting service repairs to Parker, QHP and Hydac.

Rotec has the only Authorized Hydraulic Accumulator Recertification Centre in the South West of England, based in the workshop of Rotec’s head office in Taunton, Somerset.  Rotec’s wealth of experience in the supply of a wide range of hydraulic accumulators fits alongside the additional ability to fully authorise and prepare Written Schemes of Examination by Parker Hannifin.

Accumulator maintenance, testing and repair

Regular testing helps avoid downtime, a proven cost saving measure. Further, the Pressure Systems Safety Regulations (PSSR) 2000 require hydraulic systems containing gas- loaded accumulators over a certain age to be tested periodically. Rotec offers tailored accumulator maintenance programmes.

Written Schemes of Examination

The Pressure Systems Safety Regulations (PSSR) require hydraulic systems containing gas-loaded accumulators to be maintained safely within a Written Scheme of Examination. Users and owners of hydraulic pressure systems are required to demonstrate they know the safe operating limits of their systems and the systems are safe under those conditions.

A suitable Written Scheme of Examination needs to be in place before the accumulator system is operated, then inspected in accordance with the Written Scheme of Examination. Rotec have a wealth of experience in the supply of a wide range of accumulators and we are fully authorised to prepare Written Schemes of Examination by Parker Hannifin.
