13/03/2009 Rotec's Plymouth ParkerStore had the answer
Rotec have been working with Parker to secure the installation of 75/500MAXM10 Racor Duplex Turbine Filters on a new vessel built at Bridgend Boat Co. Bridgend Boat Company has gained a prestigious contract to build a new 24 meter ship; the TS Jack Petchey is being build on behalf of the Marine Society and Sea Cadets. Rotec Hydraulics Ltd an official Parker Distributor is working with Bridgend Boat Company to supply fittings, hoses and fuel filtration. Rotec advised Bridgend Boat Company that the Racor Turbine series is the most complete and reliable engine protection you can install. It is anticipated that the TS Jack Petchey will take 29 months to build with a launch date being set for autumn 2009. Following sea trials she will become fully operational and join the offshore fleet in the early spring of 2010. Over an anticipated lifespan of 25 years, she will be the home to some 16,000 young people and 3,000 adult volunteers who will experience the challenges and the excitement of off shore training. The Jack Petchey will be a sister ship to TS John Jerwood, which will considerably increase the capacity of the charity to offer young people, from the age of 12, a six day voyage at sea. The Racor 75/500MAXM10 Duplex Turbine Series has a single valve on the manifold that isolates one filter for service while the other keeps operating. The Racor Filters contain patented Aquabloc media which is engineered to repel water and remove solid contaminants before they can damage precision engine components.
